As a Primary Supply Teacher or PPA Cover Staff, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons, managing classrooms effectively, and ensuring students thrive academically. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of schools, helping to create positive and dynamic learning environments.

Primary Supply Teachers and PPA Cover Staff Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to primary-aged students in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Provide PPA cover and maintain high-quality teaching standards across year groups.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff across different schools.
  • Mark and provide feedback on student work, where required.
  • Adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Ensure classroom resources are used effectively to enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and positive school environment, following safeguarding policies.
  • Support school-wide initiatives, including extracurricular activities, when required.

Requirements that we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
  • Experience teaching across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 as a Primary Supply Teacher and PPA Cover Staff.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new school settings and year groups.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering student success.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and its application across primary education.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with excellent communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for one.
