Mechanical Supervisor - Guildford Hospital
Are you a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for leadership and a desire to make a positive impact on healthcare?
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a busy hospital in Guildford. You will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of a range of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of mechanical engineers and technicians
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Manage the preventative and corrective maintenance of a range of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on ventilation systems (including CP and AP training)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets
- Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency call-outs
- Engage in management duties as required, including shift planning and staff scheduling
What You'll Need:
- A proven track record as a mechanical engineer
- Strong experience working with ventilation systems (CP and AP training desirable)
- A broad understanding of various mechanical systems within a healthcare environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a healthcare setting
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary of 45,000 per year
- Monday to Friday working hours (8am - 5pm)
