Assistant Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a busy main contractor with a growing prominence on the South Coast. The contractor works across various sectors including commercial, leisure, education and healthcare with projects typically valuing up to 30mil. Projects are administered predominantly via JCT forms of contract. Due to a recent succession of project wins, the team are now looking to bring an additional Assistant Quantity Surveyor into the commercial team.
About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing various sub-contract packages from procurement through to final account, and will be reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor on the project. You will assist in undertaking monthly CVRs.
Key Responsibilities as Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Be involved in pre-construction activities
- Procure and manage sub-contract packages
- Final account sub-contract packages
- Cost reporting
Key Requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role:
- 2 / 3 years in an Assistant Surveyor role
- Experience administering JCT forms of contract
- Live within commutable distance to Guildford
In return, you will receive a salary of up to 40k (dependent on experience) and the opportunity to join a contractor with a good pipeline of local work.
