Quantity Surveyor - MOD Refurbishment Projects
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 + Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 42 hours (Monday to Friday)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in refurbishment projects? We're recruiting for a key role supporting MOD (Ministry of Defence) refurbishment works in Guildford and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical projects that ensure high standards for the facilities, including barracks, training centers, and other operational buildings.



What We're Looking For

We're seeking a skilled and proactive Quantity Surveyor with:

  • 5+ years' experience in refurbishment projects, ideally within MOD or similar sectors.
  • Strong commercial management skills, including cost and value processes and supply chain engagement.
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word.
  • A full UK driving license - this role will involve travel to MOD sites across Guildford and the surrounding region.


What You'll Be Doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Pricing works using the contract's schedule of rates.
  • Managing early warnings, compensation events, and quotations.
  • Overseeing contracts and subcontractor payments.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with MOD stakeholders and supply chain partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with MOD standards and requirements.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks effectively.
