We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major Highways scheme based in Guildford. This is a freelance opportunity with an initial contract duration of 6 months, with potential for extension depending on project progression.
This assignment is paying outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
路Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of the project
路Prepare, submit, and negotiate variations and interim valuations
路Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all commercial activity
路Liaise with project stakeholders including subcontractors, clients, and consultants
路Monitor project budgets and provide detailed cost reports
路Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk management protocols
Requirements:
路Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on Highways and/or Public Realm projects
路Strong background working with Tier One contractors
路Excellent knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
路Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
路Able to work independently and proactively within a project team
