Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded main contractor on an upcoming scheme in Guildford. The business is privately owned and has a national presence, undertaking projects across the country within the industrial, residential and commercial sectors valuing up to 100mil. They are currently in the pre-construction phase of an upcoming project in Guildford which will value circa 60mil and consist of new build industrial units and associated works.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project, with involvement from the later pre-construction phase to managing the project live on site. You will report to the Commercial Manager and will have a team of Surveyors reporting into you.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Be involved in the 2nd stage tender process
- Manage packages from the earliest procurement stage and manage through to final account
- Mentor and support junior members of commercial staff
- Conduct monthly CVRs
Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- Have achieved a HNC / Construction related degree (ie. Quantity Surveying or Construction Management)
- Have experience managing projects / teams as the main contractor
- Have a track record of administering JCT forms of contract (NEC is beneficial but not essential)
- Live within commutable distance to Guildford and be happy to commute
