We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Catering Manager to join a well-established catering team within a prestigious independent school near Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services in a busy and dynamic environment.The ideal Assistant Catering Manager will have proven craft and management skills, a passion for fresh food and previous client liaison experience. Our client would also like a candidate with experience of events due to the amount of hospitality they do.Shift pattern:*52 weeks per year *A mixture of early shifts (finishing at 14:30) and late shifts (finishing at 19:00)Key Responsibilities:*Supporting the Catering Manager in the day-to-day operation of the catering department.*Ensuring the smooth delivery of meals, maintaining high standards of food quality and service.*Managing and motivating a team to provide excellent customer service.*Assisting with stock control, ordering, and cost management.*Upholding food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.About You:*Previous experience in a catering management or supervisory role, ideally within an education or contract catering setting.*Strong leadership and organisational skills.*A passion for delivering high-quality food and service.*Knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.This is a full-time role with a work-life balance rarely found in the hospitality sector, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking for stability within a rewarding environment.If you are an enthusiastic and experienced catering professional looking for your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.Scattergood's are acting as an agency on behalf of this vacancy.
