Business and Finance Administrator

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business and Finance Administrator to support their operations. This role offers a diverse and engaging work environment with opportunities for training and development.  Attitude and enthusiasm to grow with a company are the main attributes required along with some previous office based experience. An interest in numbers and gaining knowledge in accounting is more important than having the below previous experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control for a small business.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage payroll.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
  • Monitor email inboxes and respond to enquiries.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with general administrative duties.
  • Type up quotations and delivery notes.
  • Manage vehicle administration duties, such as booking MOTs and services.
  • Arrange accommodation for drivers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Some office based experience or currently working towards AAT qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of Excel.
  • Experience with accounts software (Xero, QuickBooks or Sage) is handy but not essential.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
