This amazing secondary school in Guildford, Surrey has a vibrant and supportive department which will allow you to have the opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive History lessons for students at various levels, including Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in History.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning goals through targeted interventions and enrichment activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Teaching history
  • Proven experience teaching History at the secondary or SEN level, preferably in a UK school setting.
