Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for SEN children to join our supportive and vibrant team at a well-established school in Guildford. The role involves working closely with children with a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to ensure they have the best possible learning experience.

Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant for SEN Children:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of students with SEN in Guildford
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring they engage with learning activities.
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to progress reviews.
  • Support students in both academic tasks and social/emotional development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff, parents, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes for students.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant for SEN Children Candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Be patient, compassionate, and empathetic to the needs of individual students.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar) or equivalent experience.
