We are looking to fill a vacancy we have for a Trainee Facilities Assistant working towards an RQF Level 2 Facilities Assistant Qualification. This post is supported by a structured course provided by an external provider that will enable the successful candidate to pursue a career in Facilities Management. This is an entry level course we are offering with a structured career path and further development for the right candidate.

Whilst working towards that qualification you would support our Maintenance Office Team based out of Guildford and work under the guidance of our Contract Management Team.

The basics of the post are;

  • The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We close weekends and bank holidays.
  • Rotating shift pattern. Week 1 is 0800 to 1700 with 1 hour lunch and Week 2 is 0900 to 1800 hours with 1 hour lunch.
  • 20 days paid holiday plus 8 bank holidays per annum

  • Additional training is also available where additional responsibilities are held (Fire Warden, First Aid)

Your day to day activities whilst working at BTU will include but is not limited to;

  • Assisting with the scheduling of planned and reactive maintenance works for engineers via our CAFM System
  • Answering inbound and making outbound calls to engineers and clients
  • Updating our CAFM System (ServicePro) and updating client portals (Concept) with job updates and outcomes
  • Assisting in the management of WIP and open jobs within our IT System to enable prompt billing
  • Creating and distributing client reports using Business Intelligence Systems and Excel / PowerPoint / Word templates
  • Assisting in processing quotations and organising quoted repair and upgrade visits

This is a varied role, where you will be hands on in a busy maintenance office administering contract works across London and the South East of England where we work to deliver a world class standard of customer service for a long list of prestigious clients.
