- Conduct statutory social work assessments, identifying risks, strengths, and support needs.
- Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to develop SMART care plans.
- Undertake child protection investigations and make informed decisions to safeguard children.
- Manage a complex caseload, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to referrals.
- Prepare and present reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.
- Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are central to all planning and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory guidance and best practices.
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in child protection, safeguarding, and assessment services.
- Skills: Strong risk assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of child development, safeguarding frameworks, and trauma-informed practice.
- Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel across Surrey as required.
