We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant all-boys' secondary school. This role is perfect for someone who brings energy and commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage with students one-on-one and in groups, focusing on those with SEMH, helping them navigate both their educational and personal growth.
  • Collaborate in the creation and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique needs.
  • Offer personal care with dignity and compassion, ensuring all students feel supported.
  • Assist in crafting a classroom atmosphere that is safe, inclusive, and bursting with opportunities for all students to shine.
  • Act as a bridge between students and staff, fostering clear and positive communication.
  • Occasionally play the role of the students' chauffeur for school outings (if you can drive, that’s a bonus!).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experienced in supporting children with SEMH and passionate about educational development.
  • A commitment superhero, ready to advocate for our students' needs.
  • Skilled in providing personal care and support with the utmost respect and sensitivity.
  • A communication wizard and a team player who brings out the best in those around them.
  • A valid driving license is a plus – let’s get these kids on the road to success!
