Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant - SEND School

I am working with a lovely school in Surrey Guildford that urgently seeks a SEND specialist to support their secondary-age pupils to start immediately.

About the role:

The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:

  • Autism and SEMH
  • Learning difficulties
  • Complex needs and heightened behavioural difficulties
  • Secondary aged pupils working on a Primary level
  • Outreach Tutors and Teaching Assistant roles

We welcome applicants with a good understanding of working with students with SEMH Autism and those who are neurodiverse.

You will ideally have experience in supporting children with special educational needs or will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs. Working with Theatre in Education (TIE) or workshops with children are beneficial. By being proactive and taking initiative, you are going to be able to build relationships with students and gain knowledge of a wide variety of needs.
