Temporary-to-Permanent Primary Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, focusing on students with special educational needs and disabilities, specifically SEMH.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as a Form Tutor for a class group, taking full responsibility for their pastoral and academic progress.
  • Prepare and deliver educational programmes, ensuring lessons are well-prepared and cater to the needs of students.
  • Teach all areas of the primary curriculum, providing a broad and balanced education.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to stimulate learning and meet the demands of the syllabus.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures, encouraging good practice in punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and contribute to the Annual Review of each student’s Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Develop and lead a curriculum subject, ensuring it meets the needs of the students and the objectives of the school.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including outings, social activities, and sporting events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven track record of outstanding teaching, particularly with students with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum developments and behavioural management strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and communication abilities.
  • Competence with ICT and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
