R&D Technical Lead required for a computing systems provider for space satellite and telecommunications based in Guildford. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with a strong technical background in embedded systems and telecommunications in the space industry.

This position is a hands on engineering role to begin with then progressing into a Lead Engineer role and building a technical team around you.

R&D Technical Lead Job Requirements
  • Experience or desire to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams developing embedded systems, particularly for space applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing cellular networks.
  • Experience in leading a system architecture stage of a project.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of embedded telecom systems.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with antenna systems, RF frontend design, and modulation techniques
  • Good understanding of the interactions between electronics, firmware, and software aspects in creating accurate system architecture.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, software-defined radios, and FPGA programming.
R&D Technical Lead Salary & Benefits
  • Salary- Circa £120,000+ dependent on experience and skillset
  • Matching pension contributions up to a maximum of 5% per month.
  • Holiday entitlement - 34 days (including bank holiday)
  • Working hours - 9.00am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Fridays
  • Parking - free access as part of the University parking lot.
