Our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £100 million, is seeking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the East of Scotland.

Role Overview:
As the Site Engineer, you will work closely with the management team to organise daily site operations and ensure all work complies with Health and Safety regulations. A key aspect of the role will involve taking responsibility for setting out and surveying on a range of civil infrastructure contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for construction works.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in adherence to strict Health and Safety protocols.
  • Coordinating, managing, and monitoring site staff and subcontractors.
  • Administering and maintaining Quality Assurance records on-site.
  • Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Supporting the Project Manager, Site Agent, and performing other site engineering duties as required.
  • Liaising with both management and the client.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to degree or HNC level in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
  • Experience working on Scottish Power projects is desirable.
  • Proven experience in setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects.
  • A valid CSCS card is essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
