Job Description: Cost Analyst working on a large new build construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis:

    • Monitor and analyse project costs and expenditures, identifying trends, variances, and potential areas for cost optimisation.
    • Conduct detailed reviews of budget performance, ensuring alignment with project milestones and financial goals.
  • Reporting:

    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial performance reports, including cost variance analyses and accurate forecasts, for management and stakeholders.
    • Present actionable insights and recommendations to improve cost management and project efficiency.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure all financial processes comply with relevant regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
    • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to demonstrate adherence to financial standards.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with project teams, procurement, and finance departments to share insights and support informed decision-making on cost management.
    • Provide guidance and feedback on expenditure patterns, helping to streamline workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Payment Schedules:

    • Develop and maintain accurate payment schedules in collaboration with the Finance Manager to ensure timely and accurate disbursements to vendors and contractors.
    • Regularly update payment projections based on project progression and contract agreements.
