STOREKEEPER - INITIAL 3 MONTHS - £14.55/15.32 HOURLY RATE

Loriens East Renfrewshire based Public Sector Client is looking for a Storekeeper to join their team on an initial 3 month contract position.

The post's function is to provide an effective and efficient operational day-to-day running of the stores, provide a prompt and efficient service to all store users. Also maintaining the security of the stock and plant equipment.

Main Duties:

  • Process store requisitions for stock on stores systems as required.
  • Ensure that the stock levels required within the store are maintained.
  • Record all store material received from suppliers on to stores systems, also record all material being returned to suppliers due to any error by supplier.
  • Maintain a dialogue with suppliers to ensure that deliveries of full/ part orders are received within specified timescales
  • Ensure that stock materials are placed in correct bin area.
  • Process all stock issue notes / stock return notes on to stores system.
  • Process all tool & plant issue notes / return notes on to stores system.
  • Process all PPE issue notes on to stores system.
  • Process any Direct purchased material received at the store, update stores system and inform the buyer.
  • Process Neighbourhood services material issue notes on stores systems.
  • Ensure that all records required are promptly and accurately completed.
  • Take receipt of material for other departments at depot and inform them about their delivery.
  • Carry out stock checks as required
  • Carry out stock checks of imprest stock vans when required and all records are accurately and promptly processed on to stores system.
  • To ensure stock write off / write on is carried out in accordance with the council`s financial standing orders
  • Arrange for tool & plant to be serviced off site.
  • Prepare materials for uplift as required.
  • Operation of computerized store systems as appropriate. Including Microsoft packages, Servitor, Ohms, Datastox Tool & Plant & Barcoding system and any other system used for stock control purposes.
  • Deliver material to site when required.
  • Carry out general handling of store materials as required.
  • Carry out any paperwork, returns and clerical duties as directed.
  • Keep Store & skip enclosure areas clean & tidy ensuring that there is a strict adherence to all matters relating to health & safety
  • Arrange skips to be changed when required with supplier.
  • Ensure effective communication with other teams and appropriate parts of the organisation.
  • Contributes to ensuring that policies, statutes and government legislation are upheld within their service.
  • To undertake other duties from time to time which are not specified above, which are commensurate to the grade and under the direction of the post's line manager or other members of the Senior Management Team.
