Reed Health & Care are currently recruiting for Senior Care Assistants for our client based in East Lothian on a permanent basis.

Pay Rate : £13.50 -£14..00 per hour

Hours : Full time : 38.5 or 44 Hours a weekRota : 3 Shifts 1 week / 4 shifts the next week on a rolling BasisShift : 12 hour shifts : 8am-8pm –  we have dayshift, nightshift & mixed posts available  

Requirements

  • SVQ 3 qualified or have experience as a senior or be willing to work towards this
  • Be medication trained & have experience giving medication 
  • Be registered with the SSSC
  • Demonstrate in knowledge & understanding of Social Care Codes of Practice
  • Experience in Care Planning & risk assessments
  • Have excellent communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out care as per residents care plan
  • Continually assess & monitor the needs & wishes of the residents
  • Support Nursing Staff to assess, implement & evaluate services users care plans
  • Establish & maintain good relationships between residents, relatives & staff
  • Support nursing staff to administer medication
  • Undertake direct care when required
  • Support nursing staff to allocate duties & tasks to care staff
  • To support, record & supervise the service of food & drinks to residents
  • To be involved in Key Worker Roles.
