Mechanical Fitter - Dayshift

Mechanical Fitter required for a prominent & growing engineering company based in East Lothian. Involves maintenance of factory equipment and experience in a similar environment will be beneficial. This role is a straight dayshift Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities

The Role:

• Monitor, fault find, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, and specialist treatment process machinery

• Working on fixed plant on Water and Wastewater Treatment sites to fault find, repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, and specialist treatment process machinery.
• Work as part of a mechanical/electrical team, to keep our plant availability in line with operational commitments. Assist with machine improvement projects.

The Candidate:

• Experience working within manufacturing would be advantageous
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually on their own initiative as required
• Engineering apprenticeship or HND in a Mechanical discipline will be needed
