Purpose of the Role:
To support the Deputy Director of Finance in managing monthly and annual financial processes. This includes maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations, overseeing bank accounts, managing the fixed assets register, and ensuring compliance with tax and grant requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation:
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
- Post correcting items where necessary.
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Complete reconciliations for all accounts, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable and payable transactions.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Ensure the General Ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
- Capital Grant Management:
- Record and monitor capital grant funding receipts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including monitoring and returns.
- Fixed Assets Management:
- Maintain fixed asset reconciliations and depreciation postings.
- Experience in a similar finance/accounting role.
- Familiarity with maintaining ledgers, reconciliations, and grant compliance.
- Ability to work accurately and independently to deadlines.
- Enhanced DBS on the update system is essential.
