Responsibilities
  • To be an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring our products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget and to the best DFMA principles
  • Providing manufacturing engineering support for the design and development team
  • Lead and contribute to projects that reduce costs and improve and maintain qualitY
Product Development:
Ensure products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget. Improve and maintain quality
Cost Reduction:
Identify cost-out opportunities, support sourcing and actively take part in in/outsourcing projects to improve profitability
Technical Innovation and Competitive Position:
Keep up to date with technical innovation in the UHV & Manufacturing areas
Engineering Changes:
Support the engineering change system in a timely and controlled manner, ensure up to date drawings are available
Custom Design:
Provide engineering support for quotations and technical enquiries
Quality:
Identify and deliver on opportunities to improve quality through redesign/production engineering
People and Budget:
Assist in providing data on metrics for display publicly, provide any technical support to other team members
Communication:
Ensure that the team is aware of the best current practices for DFM, Ensure that drawing numbers are allocated correctly and that the registers are maintained

  • English fluency
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years in similar role(s)
  • Experience in Microsoft tools
  • Ability to lead small teams
Essential Qualifications
  • HNC/D in Mechanical and Production Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree

  • Good communicator across all engineering disciplines and levels of ability
  • Able to manage own time effectively
  • Ability to mentor other engineers
