Are youa motivated Internal Sales Team Leader experienced in managing existing customer relationships, winning new business, and supporting and developing the internal sales team to maximise performance? The Sales Team Leader duties include:

  • Training and developing Internal Sales colleagues, focusing on sales techniques and setting objectives.
  • Growing sales from allocated existing customers to exceed targets.
  • Winning new customers within agreed sectors through cold calling, social media outreach, and other strategies.
  • Conducting regular, managed call cycles with existing customers.
  • Maintaining and managing pricing within guidelines and handle price increases.
  • Advising customers on best practices, sustainability, and budget strategies.
  • Analysing data to identify new sales opportunities and support team members in data-driven goal setting.
  • Generating new business appointments for Field Sales and lead by example in new business sales efforts.

Experience required for the Sales Team Leader include:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and effective cold calling strategies.
  • Proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Nav, Sage).
  • Confident and professional phone manner, with negotiation skills and the ability to lead by example.
  • Proven relationship-building skills with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and results-oriented with a strong record of achieving targets.
