We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wireman to join our team. As a Wireman, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will have a time-served apprenticeship, City and Guilds or NVQ qualification, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to complete projects
- Test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Time served apprenticeship in electrical installation or a related field
- City and Guilds or NVQ qualification
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems
- Installing new wiring of Electro Dynamic Shaker systems, this includes power amplifier from 30 watt to 55kw and Underwater Sonar systems.
- Collaborating with team members on project planning and execution
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets safety regulations
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on projects and address any concerns
