Reed Brighton is excited to be partnering with an established carpet specialist in East Sussex who are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary + comm and bonus. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting customer homes to measure for flooring, drawing up plans, liaising with fitters, and providing exceptional service in-store. This role requires physical capability as it involves assisting with loading and unloading in the warehouse, as well as performing administrative tasks and ordering goods.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Conduct home visits to measure and assess flooring requirements.
  • Create detailed floor plans and coordinate with fitters to ensure precise installations.
  • Manage in-store customer interactions, including taking deposits and finalising sales.
  • Assist with the physical handling of goods in the warehouse, including loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating databases and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Order goods and manage inventory to ensure availability of products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with clients professionally.
  • Experience in measuring and planning for flooring installations.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks in the warehouse.
  • Proficient in administrative duties and database management.
  • Competent in handling financial transactions and taking deposits.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
