Location: Hailsham, East Sussex

Salary: £37,500 per annum(£4,000 contractual end of first year bonus)

Hours: 40 hours per week, including evenings and some weekends

The company have an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager to manage a new 1,500 sq ft convenience store in Hailsham.

The Role

• As Store Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing this new retail business including advising on many aspects of the initial set up. You will also assist with initial recruitment and then recruit when future vacancies arise.
• Once the store is up and running you will actively drive sales and profit reporting to the two owners regularly.
• With the help of two deputy store managers, you will run the store making sure that your customers and staff are your number one priority.
• You will be responsible for everything that happens instore from resourcing and shift planning to always ensuring full product availability as well as advising on which products to stock.
• As Store Manager, you will be required to be on-call on occasions, they anticipate up to an average 7 hours per week, and this will be agreed in advance with you

Skills and Qualifications

• You must be computer savvy, highly motivated and dynamic with a solid convenience store background, including familiarity with modern EPOS systems.
• A natural leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, you will also demonstrate a decisive and organised approach.
• Responsible for everything that happens instore, you will demonstrate confidence to lead your team, plan resources effectively and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.

• A generous “end of first year” £4,000 contractual bonus and discretionary annual bonus thereafter

• Your working pattern will be agreed in advance, and they aim to be flexible to your needs where they can, but you will be expected to work/ be on call every third weekend and some evenings.
