Secure Residential Support WorkerDuration: Initially 3 monthsHours: 37 hours per weekRate: £19 umbrella an hour (£15 PAYE an hour)Location: HailshamEast Sussex County Council are looking for a Secure Residential Support Worker to join their Children’s Services.Regular shifts:
  • Early – 7.30am-3.45pm
  • Late shifts – 2.15pm-10.30pm
  • There will be an occasional sleep in requirement with a follow up of an early shift
Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality childcare to the children placed with an emphasis on safety, nurture and achievement
  • Bring a parental presence to the home and promotes an inclusive and positive working environment
  • Ensure that children’s needs are met in line with their care plans and statement of purpose and function
  • Attendance and contribution towards children’s meetings, reviews, handovers and debriefs
  • Dispense medication in line with the Medication Policy and Procedure and supervise, administer and record prescribed and controlled medications within the home
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential
  • Ability to deliver a range of activities and engagement to children both on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Behaviour Management experience and skills
  • Knowledge and experience of child protection and safeguarding
