Student Support Assistant

We are recruiting for a special school, seeking for passionate Student Support Assistants to join a team. This is an opportunity to support children across various age ranges who have not found success in mainstream education.

Day to day of the role:
  • Work as part of a team responsible for developing, improving, and delivering innovative provisions for children requiring a nurturing approach to education.
  • Utilise therapeutic based teaching strategies combined with a caring, understanding, and nurturing approach to classroom and behaviour management.
  • Support the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional, learning, and social communication difficulties.
  • Motivate pupils towards high achievement and manage administrative, organisational, and communication tasks effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Devotion, resilience, and the ability to tailor your approach according to different young peoples needs.
  • A caring, understanding, and nurturing attitude to behaviour management.
  • Passion to grow as a student support assistant and develop in your role
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
