Aspiring Paediatric Nurse

This role is ideal if you have career aspirations in the field of a child nurse and, want to expand your experience and, knowledge within complex, medical and, mental health needs.

We are looking for a dedicated Aspiring Paediatric Nurseto support children with moderate learning difficulties and, additional mental health needs. This school is based in Hailsham for children aged 4-16 and has speciailised in SEMH to provide exceptional education and, provide extra help for traumatised children and, young people.

You will be helping children who have come from trauma/neglected backgrounds, challenging behaviour, ADHD or Autism and, also have developed mental health issues due to their needs and, require additional support with improving social, emotional and mental well-being.

Responsibilities of an Aspiring Paediatric Nurse:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs and help, students understand instructions.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning and, support plans.
  • Support children during social activities and outings.
  • Encourage communication and, also look after their physical needs.
  • Work alongside the teacher and SEN team to create a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and provide learning materials.

Requirements of an Aspiring Paediatric Nurse:

  • Impose patience and understanding.
  • Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
  • Always be adaptable in any give situation.
  • Be able to develop strong and positive relationships with children.
