Role Responsibilities
  • Handling day-to-day administration for client matters, including self-employed and partnership accounts, as well as personal tax returns
  • Preparing statutory accounts (FRS105 and FRS 102(1a)) and corporate tax returns
  • Managing quarter-end VAT reviews and producing management accounts throughout the year
  • Supporting tax planning and business development strategies for clients
  • Assisting with mentoring and development of more junior colleagues
  • Collaborating with the bookkeeping and payroll teams to ensure smooth transfer of financial data
  • Interacting with the firm’s financial planning sister business to deliver comprehensive wealth planning advice to clients
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external contacts
  • Actively promoting the practice and networking with clients, targets, and intermediaries

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of practice experience,
  • Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or nearly part-qualified
  • Knowledge of Iris, Sage 50, Sage Online, QuickBooks Cloud, Xero, Dext, and Excel is desirable (training will be provided if required)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation
  • Strong IT skills and numeracy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy
  • Minimum GCSEs (C or above) in Maths and English, with strong further education results
