Role Responsibilities
  • Preparing accounts for self-employed individuals, partnerships, and companies, including statutory accounts (FRS105, FRS 102(1a), and some IFRS)
  • Preparing personal tax returns and partnership tax returns, including for high-net-worth individuals
  • Completing corporate tax returns and VAT reviews, with management accounts production
  • Providing tax planning and business development advice to clients
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior colleagues, assisting with their development and progression
  • Ensuring timely progression of client work through efficient workflow management
  • Reporting on practice administration matters to the directors
  • Networking with clients, targets, and intermediaries to help promote the practice
  • Collaborating with the firm’s financial planning team to provide cohesive wealth planning advice
  • Using your initiative to resolve issues and provide proactive client service

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 12 months of post-qualification experience, or part-qualified with extensive practice experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with a range of clients and colleagues
  • Experience with Iris, Sage 50, Sage Online, QuickBooks Cloud, Xero, and Excel is desirable (training provided if required)
  • A solid understanding of current tax legislation and practice procedures
  • Good IT and numeracy skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • A team player with a confident, proactive approach
