Job Purpose
  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met.
  • Preparation of accounts for self-employed individuals and partnerships.
  • Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns, including HNWIs.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS105 and FRS 102 (1a), as well as IFRS for UK subsidiaries of international groups.
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns.
  • Undertake quarter-end VAT reviews.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Assist with tax planning work.
  • Oversee client workflow and internal management of resources.
  • Supervise junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development.
  • Liaising with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries.
  • Identifying new processes and ways to increase efficiency.
  • Researching and interpreting changes to taxation and accounting regulations.
  • Championing your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities.

Job Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • A minimum of four years UK practice experience
  • A part-qualified candidate with strong experience would also be considered
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
  • Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Good IT skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation
  • A team player who can also work autonomously
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
