SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with an acquisitive, PE backed business based in Halesowen to recruit a Junior Management Accountant. This role is brand new and is as a result of growth. This business are on the lookout for a hard working, self motivated Junior Management Accountant with some prior Accounting experience who is looking to grow and develop and progress through their exams. This new role is to support the Finance Manager with the day to day running of the finance function and requires someone not afraid to get their hands dirty in a varied role. 

The successful Junior Management Accountant will be ideally degree educated, motivated to complete their ACCA/CIMA and have the drive and determination to learn and develop in a fast paced organisation. 


Role:

- Preparing and posting month end journals
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with preparation of month end management accounts for multiple entities
- Identifying variances, and analysing trends
- Monthly & Quarterly VAT returns
- Prepayments and Accruals
- Reconciliation with costing reports
- Assist with Budget and forecasting
- Assisting with purchase ledger when required
- Identify areas for process improvements
- Ad-hoc duties, reporting and analysis


Requirements:


- Strong work ethic and be a self starter
- Ability to work well as part of a team and be a team player
- Experience within a hands on role in finance
- Experience with process improvements / implementations desirable
- Experience with Sage packages
- Strong Excel skills
- AAT Qualified / Studying Towards ACCA/CIMA
