Evolve Personnel are currently recruiting for aFurnace Technicianfor our client in the Halesowen area.
As a Furnace Technician, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of the furnace systems. Your responsibilities will include planning and supervising contractor activities, enhancing furnace reliability, and overseeing the scheduling and execution of furnace surveys and instrument calibrations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily checks on all furnaces to ensure they are working correctly
- Check all qualified furnaces are operating within the specifications of their qualification and sign off the charts, maintain a daily log reporting the above
- Attend to and repair any fault that may occur
- Carry out regular system accuracy tests (SATS) on all qualified furnaces and produce documents to log results
- Planning preventative maintenance checks on a rolling program on all furnaces
- Manufacture, calibrate, and re-calibrate thermocouples
- Complete Furnace Survey Reports
Qualification/experience:
- Must have proven experience in maintaining Electrical Furnaces
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Gas Safe
- Electrical bias
- Pyrometry knowledge
Hours:Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm (shorter day on a Friday)
