- Check all furnaces are working correctly.
- Ensure all qualified furnaces operate within their specifications and sign off the charts.
- Maintain a daily log reporting the above.
- Attend to and repair any faults that may occur on a furnace.
- Conduct system accuracy tests (SATS) on all qualified furnaces and document the results.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on a rolling program for all furnaces.
- Plan and review all furnace instrument calibration, sign certificates, and maintain documentation in a register.
- Manufacture, calibrate, and re-calibrate Type R thermocouples and keep records.
- Replace Type K thermocouples and maintain records.
- Issue calibration certificates for each surveyed furnace and thermocouple, detailing their location, date of issue, and next calibration due.
- Maintain all calibration records meticulously.
- Preferably Gas Safe certified.
- Electrical bias.
- Must have experience with Pyrometry.
