Our client, a growing SME, is seeking a proactive and experienced Finance Manager to join their Finance Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the company's financial processes, provide strategic financial guidance, and contribute to the business's overall growth and success. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insights to support key business decisions.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Key essentials of the Finance Manager:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a finance management role within an SME environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organisation.
