The role is 5 days on-site and you will be leading the ER, Recruitment and Learning and Development Teams.

The role is 5 days on-site and you will be leading the ER, Recruitment and Learning and Development Teams.

Description

  • Assist the Director of People Services in implementing the People Strategy.
  • Lead the development and delivery of management training programmes on people management, policies, and practices.
  • Represent and advocate for the People Services Division, deputising for the Director as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation, monitoring, and reporting of HR data.
  • Establish key performance indicators and reporting mechanisms that inform strategic improvements and future trends.
  • Lead the job evaluation scheme, ensuring fairness and consistency, and chair the Job Evaluation Committee/Panel.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and on-board top talent in collaboration with the Marketing Team and Recruitment Agencies.
  • Co-develop a comprehensive Well-being Strategy, including mental health initiatives, in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on a Learning and Development Strategy that supports employee retention and maximises the use of the apprenticeship levy.
  • Ensure adherence to legislative changes, safeguarding, health and safety regulations, and data protection standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative systems and processes across the People Services functions.
  • Undertake specific projects as directed by the Director of People Services.

Profile

  • Previously managed a team.
  • CIPD Level 7 is desired.
  • Ideal background Public Sector and Not for Profit.
  • Strong experience in ER, recruitment, talent development and learning.
