Sonic Summary

A Mechanical Fitter is needed for a growing engineering company near Halesowen, responsible for maintaining hydraulic presses and other plant machinery.
The role offers an hourly rate of up to £16.28 depending on experience.
Candidates must have 2 to 5 years of experience working with hydraulic presses and strong administration skills.
The shift pattern is Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, requiring flexibility to meet production needs.

Due to continued growth I’m currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for covering hydraulic presses along with other plant machinery.

Shift pattern for the Mechanical Fitter:

Monday - Thursday (6.00am - 16:00pm)

Hourly rate up to £16.28 (DOE)

Duties of the Mechanical Fitter:

• Work in safe and responsible manner.

• Time keeping / attendance.

• Maintenance of Press both preventive and reactive.

• Timely response to all reactive breakdowns.

• Flexibility to work around production requirements.

• Critical spares stock.

• Reliability of press - improvement projects.

• Hydraulic system servicing and monitoring.

• Engineering support across site.

• Maintenance of other equipment within department.

The successful candidate for the Mechanical Fitters position will have the following experience:

2 - 5 year’s experience working with Hydraulic presses (Essential)
Experience in updating and maintaining Maintenance systems (Essential)
Strong Administration skills (Essential)
