About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Team, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation of hydraulic press systems and other on-site machinery. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preventive and reactive maintenance of hydraulic press systems.
  • Promptly responding to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Supporting engineering and maintenance across the site.
  • Servicing and monitoring hydraulic systems.
  • Implementing improvement projects to enhance press reliability.
  • Assisting in training apprentices as part of the team’s growth.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • A Level 3 NVQ/BTEC qualification (or equivalent).
  • A strong engineering background, particularly in heavy plant equipment.
  • Proven expertise in hydraulic press operation.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
