An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Halesowen. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other additional learning needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual learning styles.

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all pupils feel valued and encouraged.

  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to monitor and support pupil progress.

  • Support pupils in both classroom settings and small group interventions.

  • Encourage social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and effective communication.

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting.

  • Knowledge of a range of SEN strategies and interventions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting pupils.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
