Empowering learning are recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in a school in the Halesowen area. The school is a one form entry school and is rated "Good" in their most recent Ofsted and has a strong team structure in place. School are looking for someone to come in and use initiative and hit the ground running

The role would be starting ASAP and would be working on a temp to perm basis and would be a great opportunity for experienced and new teaching assistants.

Responsibilities of this SEN teaching assistant

  • Enthusiastic and engaging, making learning fun and valuable for the children.
  • Resilient and adaptable with their approach to ensure that children are supported appropriately and professionally.
  • To work on a 1:1 basis with a academically challenging child in reception
  • SEND experience/knowledge is desirable.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • a DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
  • a minimum level 2 qualification either in health and social care or a teaching assistant
  • Experience of working in KS1
  • Experience with a child with Autism.
