Hayley Group Limited has an exciting vacancy for a highly motivated Internal Technical Sales Person to join our well-established and experienced Trade team based at our Halesowen HQ. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

Hayley Group is the largest independent distributor of MRO engineering products and consumables (power transmission, bearings, fasteners, PPE, tools, lubricants etc) in the UK. About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Internal Technical Sales Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MRO engineering products and consumables, especially Power Transmission, combined with proven sales experience. You will be responsible for managing and growing our trade customer accounts, providing expert technical advice, and driving revenue growth.

Working Hours:                40 hours per week Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities as our Internal Technical Sales Person will include:

  • Efficient response to incoming enquiries and orders from trade accounts, particularly Power Transmission related.
  • Achieve profitable sale of goods across the product range, UK & Export
  • Prompt follow-up on trade customer enquiries in a very fast paced environment.
  • Prepare quotes promptly in response to trade customer requirements
  • Utilise Hayley’s bespoke IT system to accurately identify, source and price items; to accurately record enquiries and orders, invoices and other documentation
  • Undertake ad hoc purchasing tasks, including placing orders, booking in products and raising customer invoices
  • Work with management/colleagues to identify improvements to services and products
  • Sales and purchasing admin support as required
  • Build rapport with trade customers at every opportunity.
  • Take personal responsibility for timely and accurate fulfilment of trade customer requirements

Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Internal Technical Sales Person:

  • Proven internal technical sales experience, good knowledge of MRO/Engineering products, specifically Power Transmission related.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence as occasional visits to some clients may be required.
