Transport Planner
Paying up to £28,000 per year.
Monday Friday, 10:00am 6:30pm.
Based in Birmingham (B62).
Temp to Perm Contract.
Due to ongoing growth, our client, a leading Transport and Logistics organisation, are seeking a Transport Planner to join their busy transport team.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous experience in Transport Planning and Operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Transport Planner will include:
Liaising with customers, suppliers and partners via various channels, such as emails and over the phone.
Generating export paperwork for drivers.
Quoting and taking bookings over the phone or through email.
Preparing paperwork for drivers.
Raising job files, costing and invoicing.
Liaising with drivers to ensure the delivery of service.
General administration duties such as scanning, filing, using Microsoft Office.
We are seeking a candidate with a proven background in UK Transport Operations, European experience is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will be a team player and be able to work as a key member of a busy transport environment.
