Painter and Decorator IP19Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks to ensure smooth surfaces.
- Painting and Decorating: Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Colour Matching: Mixing and matching paints to achieve the desired colour and texture.
- Client Interaction: Advising clients on colour selection and types of finishes.
- Safety Compliance: Following health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Estimating: Calculating the time and materials required for projects and managing inventory.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in painting and decorating.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and precision in work.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical tasks and work at heights.
- Communication: Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of Materials: Understanding of different types of paints, varnishes, and wallpapers.
