Headley have a vacancy for an experienced Quality Engineer, experienced in the welding and fabrication sector.

This is a fast growing company fabricating and installing mechanical services, pipework, vessels.

The quality and variety of work they do is good, they operate from purpose built modern premises, and they are well managed by an experienced management team.

Company expansion means the need to recruit a dedicated Quality professional.

Outline duties to include:

  • maintenance of quality standards according to industry regulations. ASME, PED
  • management of shop floor inspections and relevant reporting
  • analysis of current practice and implementation of formal quality procedures, introducing process improvements as required
  • raising, managing and closing NCR’s
  • management of required training and development
  • working closely with production to ensure best practice across the fabrication division.
  • review and compilation of appropriate quality documents

Requirements:

  • Experience in welding, fabrication, pipework industry and understanding of industry codes and standards
  • Experience of devising and implementing quality control procedures
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, codings, pressure regulations and welding inspections
  • Quality control experience; welding inspection and industry standards
  • Able to implement new process, and communicate change effectively
