I am representing a highly respected grammar school in Halifax, HX3, currently seeking a Head of Business & Economics to lead their Business and Economics Department. • Position: Head of Business & Economics
• Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a small, dynamic team to ensure high teaching standards and student outcomes.
• Overseeing curriculum development and teaching effectiveness.
• Managing departmental resources, staffing, and budgets.

What They Are Looking For:

• Qualifications: A good honours degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience: Proven track record of teaching Business and Economics at GCSE and A-Level.
• Leadership: Experience as a Head of Business, Head of Economics, Curriculum Leader, Department Leader, or Subject Leader.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to inspire both staff and students.
• Safeguarding: Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
• Student Progress: Proven ability to ensure high-ability student progress and success.
