Are you a talented Head Pastry Chef looking for your next challenge? Do you have experience in high-end hotel or rosette-standard establishments? I'm seeking a creative and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join a renowned kitchen team near Halifax.

About the Role:
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will take the lead in creating and executing exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our distinguished venue. You will be responsible for the daily management of the pastry section, overseeing the production of exquisite items for both our restaurant and special events. Your leadership will drive the team to maintain the high standards of quality and consistency our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all pastries, desserts, and bread items to rosette-standard quality.

  • Develop and innovate seasonal menus, offering fresh and exciting options.

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety within the pastry section.

  • Control ordering, stock management, and waste reduction to optimise kitchen efficiency.

  • Work closely with the head chef and other kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.

  • Train and inspire the pastry team, encouraging creativity and development.


About You:

  • Proven experience in a Head Pastry Chef or similar leadership role within a hotel or rosette-standard establishment.

  • A deep passion for pastry, with a strong knowledge of modern techniques and trends.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to consistently delivering exceptional quality.

  • Experience in managing stock, ordering, and controlling budgets.
