Sales Account Manager

Offering £25,000 basic salary with a realistic OTE of £4,000+ and great benefits!

Our client is a long-standing, leading supplier and distributor of household products based in the Halifax area. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Sales Account Manager to support their longstanding customer within the retail and wholesale sector.

Saes Account Manager - Key Responsibilities

  • To provide outbound and inbound support to current and new customers. 80% of the role is managing existing accounts from retailers, commercial/trade customers. 20% of the role is targeting new customers from an extensive database and supporting the field sales team with new customer enquiries.
  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using the existing prospect databases provided.
  • Develop an understanding of your customers' businesses and requirements to help increase repeat sales.
  • Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed and beneficial, for a face-to-face meeting.
  • Enter and update customer information in "Sales I" account CRM card after each call using the 3-step method.
  • Keep records of calls and sales on your daily call report and note useful information.

Sales Account Manager - requirements

  • Experience in a sales environment or customer service role.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota, preferably over the phone.
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems.
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills.

The Sales Account Manager position is offering £25,000 Basic Salary, with a realistic OTE of £29,000+ plus benefits, including 20 days holiday plus all public/bank holidays (additional holiday buy back scheme). This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our client’s office, working Monday - Thursday 8:30am until 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am until 4:00pm.
