Job Title: Customer Service Executive (Sales Administration)

Location: HalifaxWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMSalary: £26,000 per annum

Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Customer Service Executive to support the sales administration processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment based in Halifax. This role involves assisting with the commercial strategy, managing client supply agreements, processing order amendments, and providing administration support to internal and external sales teams. You will collaborate with the wider sales team to ensure seamless sales activities, assist in the analysis of current and future orders, and handle customer requirements and proposals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain up-to-date sales documentation with high attention to detail.
  • Create and deliver regular reports, offering insights on sales and customer data.
  • Assist in driving business growth through effective administrative support.
  • Be proactive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Maintain and update client records with expert knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from customers to internal teams, ensuring clear and professional interactions.
  • Proactively maintain good relationships with customers, resolving issues and queries promptly.
  • Collaborate with Planning and other key departments to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Occasional travel within the UK and Europe may be required.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements.
  • Ensure all relevant environmental statements, such as FSC controlled wood, PEFC chain of custody, and RSB Advanced Products standards, are upheld.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a sales administration or similar role.
  • Education: Ideally educated to A-level or above.
  • Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
  • Familiarity with CRM and in-house systems (such as SAP) is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to handle customer requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of numeric data and the ability to process orders and raise quotations.
  • Language skills, especially French, are an advantage.
  • A flexible approach with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to own and resolve issues from start to finish.
